seattle bound

herro................ I haven't updated in a while. I've been a busy bee, working and stuff and doing huge errands in between. I flew to the Bay Area last weekend to help my mom pack my grandparents' things. Today, my mom just flew in from Oakland and she will be staying with us for like a week. However, I'm flying to Seattle tomorrow early morning so I could attend my old friend's wedding. SHE'S MY AGE! so crazy. It hasn't really hit me yet that I'm going to Seattle, WA...TOMORROW. I'm so excited! a new state that I've never been to yet. Here are some pics from the past weeks.

getting lost in San Francisco airport.

another crepe photo from Sophie's crepes in Japantown, San Francisco. I took my mom to get one. I don't think she's ever had one before. She didn't find it so special... thought it was "messy".. but ugh so good.

had a FEAST! in this restaurant in Oakland called Bay Fung Tong. OMG, this restaurant. I heard you had to get reservations like a week in advance. it was DEEELICIOUS. we couldn't finish

fruit/vegetable stands in the small Chinatown of Oakland

my grams gave me these shoes... they were trying to get rid of some her things. her stuff packed took up like 10 boxes, while my grandpa's things only took up 2! These fit me~ they look cute with stirrup leggings. kind of heavy though

back to San Diego. We had some Mexican food the first night I came back - yum yum carne asada fries.

sneak preview of what I'm going to wear at the wedding. SO EXCITE!

I'm gonna be in Seattle until Tuesday morning. Then I work again at 12 noon that day. see y'all in a week or so.

more pics from San Francisco, we did the most touristy things on Saturday. I went to Ghirardelli Square for the first time. It was super chaotic in there... and exotic. I don't know if that's the right word, but so many European accented employeeees. HELLO :D

^^^^ This shining man was outside - I guess he caught me taking his picture and stared straight into my camera. nightmares forever. We also went to the most crookedest road / Coit tower / and past the GG Bridge to north bay territory. It's sooo country on the other side. Afterwards, we ate some delicious Thai food at Marnee Thai and headed to SF Museum of Fine Arts which was sooo super prettiful at night!

TODAY! I had a summer class to go to from 2-5. It's a comm class about TV :). The weather has been kind of weird. It's like gloomy over where I live/school and sunny everywhere else.

my tiny little bearbrick collection :)

made some lo mein for myself for dinner. pretty dang tasty. so easy to make: a little green onion, spam, ginger, oyster sauce and egg noodles. boil noodles, drain, then fry other ingredients in oil, add drained noodles, add oyster sauce and MIX! hmm... I'm in the process of finding another place to live, our lease ends on July 31. I still haven't really decided if I want to stay in SD or go somewhere else. I like moving, I just wish I knew where to go. I'm curious, do people actually read written blog content? lol.

i love heat

went to the BAY AREA over the weekend (again). I never ever travel this often, but my group of friends from middle school were having a little reunion and I didn't wanna be the only one missing out. I got a good deal on the tickets too! I don't know what else to say, except even San Francisco (a usually cold place) was HAAAAWT. and I loved it ♥

cute little boy near takoyaki stand at Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown, SF

We ate frozen yogurt every day. I lurve frozen yogurt

transportations took a whole lotta time and money but it was for a good cause

dreamcatcher top from Nordstrom Rack, payce!

i heart sf

My stupid boyfriend April fooled me, then surprised me with a ticket to San Francisco so we could spend our 5 year anniversary together (04/04/04)... probably the most spontaneous thing he's done, ever. hah. hm, anyway. it was fun and eventful weekend. This is going to be a long, detailed post.

On Friday, we went to Haight St (one of my favorite places to go). I go into American Apparel to check out the Afrika printed stuffies they have. and the dressing room attendant is none other than Marjorie from last season's America's Next Top Model. WUT..

Ok, so that is not me in the yellow sweater. hehe. I got the photo from this guy's posting about the same weird encounter with the reality tv star. but yep, she had platinum blond hair just like in the photo. She was quite tall (dur). I didn't really want to intrude on her work, but I overheard the guy in the fitting room next to me telling her how she looked like that girl from ANTM. and she was like "yup". I caught her doing a cute little chicken dance while talking to another girl. It was really bizarre for me... seeing someone I see on tv in real life.

Afterward, we went to Isobune Sushi in Japantown for dinner. Small boats floating on water carried the sushi around the bar.

On Saturday, we went downtown by bus. stopped by Saigon Sandwich along the way. I love this place. They're sandwiches are only $3 and they've got great reviews. They have some kind of special sauce that makes their sandwiches especially delicious. I think it's warm mayo, err something.

did some shop-seeing. The first tier of that huge building is forever 21's three-story shop. The second photo is of Zara.

Lily Allen was having a (sold out) concert at the Warfield that I really reeaallly wanted to go to. But I opted to save money, and we watched Adventureland instead. It's got a 89% rating on rottentomatoes. It was sweet... except, I think I'd probably understand it more if I were a thirty-something year old. I heard some older folks reminiscing about the 80s shortly after the movie. The main character was like a slightly less awkward version of Michael Cera. and Also, I'd like to express my envy of Kristen Stewart. Not only does she get to kiss Robert Pattinson in Twilight; but she makes out with Ryan Reynolds in Adventureland. WHY?

Today, we attempted to go thrifting in the Mission - but didn't find anything. The weather was great! sunny and hot -- a rarity for SF. There was this alleyway filled with artwork; it was pretty neat.

San Francisco <3

where is my mind

I watched Fight Club last night (for the first time ever). I love the last scene where the buildings are falling one by one to the sound of The Pixies. It was so... beautiful? Maybe I'm a little bit crazy. Anyway, I'll be in San Francisco for one more week. I feel like I have done nothing but EAT. One of these days I will make a special post dedicated entirely to the food I've eaten on this vacation. I still need to do so many things!

New Years is in three days. Resolutions? Probably the same ones I've had every friggin year: EXERCISE (...ha), do better in school, get a job, sleep earlier, etc etc. Nothing has changed. I'm still skinny fat, mediocre at everything, jobless and practically nocturnal. But I guess my real goal this year is to graduate from college.
